TERMS OF BUSINESS
We work each assignment with a specific formal mandate setting out goals, expectations, deliverables, timeframe, and compensation.
Each assignment is evaluated and the scope of work is agreed with our clients. Our contracts define the task required and the necessary resources, to avoid unexpected cost overruns. Our contracts contain precise language on confidentiality and conflict of interest avoidance.

COMPENSATION
We use four compensation models:

SUCCESS FEES, for projects where medium term goal definition is practical and measurable.
​
RETAINER FEES when services are provided on an ongoing basis and results have a long term impact.
​
HURDLE SUCCESS FEES, when we participate as co-investors and have management responsibilities.
​
PRO-BONO on behalf of charitable institutions or not for profit organizations.

ABOUT US
The firm's principals accumulate over 25 years of experience in cross-border real estate investment and transacting. The firm has a successful track record and a deep business network in the most relevant markets of Western Europe, the US, and Latin America.

Javier Marquina, is the founder of ARQ CONSULTANTS. Since 1996, his real estate career has been in the field of real estate investment in an international context. He has held leading positions as Advisor, as Principal and as Asset Manager, as well as Interim Leader in major multi-national groups. He is a specialist in cross border institutional transactions and an expert in multi-national portfolio strategy design and execution. In his career he has participated in transactions totaling over US$ 1.2bn across eight countries in Europe and the Americas.

Javier is a graduate in Politics and Economics (PPE) from the University of Oxford in the UK, has an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, in Madrid, and was admitted through the professional achievement route as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) of the UK in 2008.
